Chapter 13 Bankruptcy
At the Mazza Law Group, P.C., we can assist you with filing a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. We know that financial burdens can come from many different circumstances, such as a medical emergency, reduction in income, divorce, COVID-19, or loss of a loved one. Our lawyers can assist you in these difficult times. Let us help provide you with a resolution to financial burdens so you can have a fresh start.
Also known as a “wage earner’s plan,” a Chapter 13 bankruptcy enables you to repay all or part of your debt through a repayment plan over three to five years. If you are an individual, married couple, or business, you can qualify for a Chapter 13 bankruptcy by meeting certain requirements regarding your income and debt. One of our Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Attorneys can help you determine if you meet these requirements. In Pennsylvania there are 3 District Courts (Western, Middle and Eastern). Each court has their own set of rules, and a bankruptcy petitioner’s
failure to comply with those rules risks the dismissal of their case. Our Bankruptcy Attorneys have practiced in both the Western and Middle District Courts and are familiar with the unique rules to both jurisdictions.
Upon completion of the repayment plan, you are entitled to a discharged of all remaining debts provided for in the plan or disallowed, with limited exceptions.
If you are an individual or business owner who is experiencing financial hardship, contact our law firm as soon as possible. We have more options available to help you if you contact us early in the process.
